During Term 2 we discovered how paper is made. As we have been learning about recycling, we decided to use our 'old' paper to make 'new' paper.
We enjoyed refining our fine motor skills to ensure that our paper pulp was made up of very small torn pieces of our recycled paper.
We discussed different textures as we felt the water mix with the paper fragments to create a pulp. We mixed the pulp by adding a marble to a container to mix it really well!
We carefully spread out our pulp into thin layers so we could let it dry and become our 'new' framed paper.
Have a look at the fun we had learning the craft of paper making!
