We have been invaded by Pokemon!

Our annual Students vs Parents Mathematics competition is a highlight of our school calendar!

This year our school were divided into teams of Pokemon (Mr D is now a Pokemon expert).  After answering mathematics questions our teams had to complete an obstacle course before they could get the next set of questions!

It was SO much fun and as always the Students beat the Parents - of course ;-)

Reading is always better with a BUDDY!

Once per month our Kiwi class joins our friends in the Year 6 Maui Dolphins classroom, to read and share our learning.  This is always a much anticipated event and our Kiwi class get very excited about choosing two stories to read to their 'buddies'.

As teachers, Miss Sancto and I relish in the joy of watching the collaboration between our two classrooms.  The Year 6 children act as mentors to our young Kiwi class by being supportive, encouraging and kind.  In return, th

e Kiwi children enjoy listening to a story read to them and they love being shown the impressive work that their Year 6 'buddies' create!

We look forward to seeing you next term Maui Dolphins.  Thank you for being amazing role models to our newest Wentworth students.  I appreciate that you are demonstrating the qualities and values the Kiwi class will use when they become mentors of our school in Year 6.
