Lest we forget!

A small, but dedicated, contingent celebrated ANZAC day at the Silverdale RSA this morning.

It is always wonderful to see the younger generation proudly wearing family war medals.

We will remember them!

Camping at school!

On the last Friday of Term 1 the Year 1, 2 and 3 classrooms decided to have a mini-camp at school.
The weather played its part which allowed us to pitch tents on the field, make pancakes, play parachute games, run the egg and spoon race as well as take part in an egg toss game.

Have a look at some of the fun we had!

Our tent is successfully up!

Look at out tent city!

Last peg to go in.

Even our furry friend is enjoying the sunshine.

Now you see us!

Now you don't!

Mr D and Mrs McLeish demonstrating the egg throw - be careful!

Now it's our turn.......Watch out......

A giraffe at school?

Yes, Yes, Yes!  It is true!

Harold the Giraffe and his friend Chris came to visit us.

Harold is from the Life Education Trust and his role is to help provide us with the knowledge we need to become unique, informed individuals who are able to make sensible choices about our health and our lives.

Our Science topic this term has been 'Ourselves'.  Harold helped us to understand the things that animals and humans NEED to stay alive.  Harold also reminded us of the importance of being a good friend.......we most certainly are GOOD friends!
