Mathematics is everywhere!

Mrs McLeish regularly reminds us that Mathematics is everywhere around us and in everything we do!

Let us show you some of the places we have 'found' Mathematics!

We are learning to handle data by using a pictogram.

How many more people liked the T-Rex than the Triceratops?

The lion was our 'least' favourite animal!

We can use our hand span to measure length.

How long is this seat?

We can create two sets to solve addition problems.

So can we!

Let's hope it doesn't topple over.

We work together to solve maths problems.

I know how to compare the length of objects and put them in order from biggest to smallest.

Me too!

We are learning to compare our heights.

I am learning to create a number sentence.

6 + 3 = 9

We are working together to solve our maths problems.

I know that the '=' sign means 'the same as'.
We are almost finished......

Let me check that what is on this side the equals sign is 'the same as' what is on the other side of the equals sign.

We are done!

How many piles of 5 counters can I make in one minute?

One minute is a long time.....
