DROP, COVER, HOLD!

Today, Thursday 18th of October at 9.30am we participated in the New Zealand Shake Out.

The purpose of the Shake Out is to ensure that our children know what to do if there is an Earthquake.

We learned to DROP, COVER and HOLD!
We talked about finding the safest places to do this when we are outside, or if there are no tables to shelter under inside.

We are going to ask our families to help us come up with a plan at home so that we know what to do, wherever we are!

Flower Power!

Spring has sprung!
Wow!  What creative students we have here at Wentworth Primary School.

To finish off a fantastic Term 3, the Years 1 - 4 immersed themselves into an exciting Tech Challenge.
In teams they were to create a flower inspired costume using only paper, sellotape and string.  The models then had to walk around two courts to demonstrate the robust and sturdy nature of the costumes, and to show off their exquisite aesthetic designs!

Have a look at the amazing creations designed by our youngest students!

Enjoy your holiday break!

May the Mathematics Force be with you!

Today our students took part in the annual Parents vs Students Mathematics competition.

As ALWAYS, the students shone and won the competition.

Thank you so much to all of our friends and families who came to participate and/or cheer us on.

It was such a fun day and it was wonderful to see how many grown-ups can still Hula Hoop!

We look forward to seeing you all next year!
