Rio Olympics meet Wentworth College Olympics!

Today the Year 7 and 8 classes from Wentworth College held an Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

We were allocated countries to support and we followed our team as they participated in different Olympic events.  The chicken throwing contest and blind basketball hoop shooting sports were definitely highlights!  Have a look at some of the fun we had!

All that glitters is GOLD

We were so very fortunate today to meet the 2014 Olympic Gold Medalist, Joseph Sullivan!

Joseph Sullivan won Gold in the Men's Double Sculls with his rowing buddy Nathan Cohen.

Not only did we get the opportunity to hear all about the efforts that it took Joseph to get the gold, both on and off the water, we were also lucky enough to hold the GOLD Medal.

Thank you Mr Sullivan for delighting us with your tales of blisters, shoes stuck in the boat and the 100 McNugget challenge!  We loved every minute of your talk today!

Share the excitement by watching his amazing Gold Medal race and have a look at our photos below!

We have had four new fantails flutter into our classroom!

Meet our newest Fantails!

More adventures with Franny the Fantail for Churchtown Primary School!

During our winter school holidays, Franny the Fantail went home with one of our lovely Fantail class members.
Check out their adventures :-)

I brought Franny to swimming and then I came home to have dinner and Mummy made pudding and the boys did homework.
